Middle and high School

Jim comes to us as a retired E & C Technician from the pipeline.  He is Veteran who proudly served his country while exploring the world. Mr. Ellison serves as an elder, Sunday schoolteacher, life group host, and in any capacity that he is able to at his local church.  Jim has a heart to serve others as well as see others grow in Christ.  Jim currently has his substitute permit, but has the heart of a teacher, stepping up to do all the things that a regular teacher would and so much more.  

 I was born in Oklahoma and raised in Kansas until my junior year of high school when my family and I moved to Thermopolis, WY.  There I met my wonderful husband, Joshua.  While living in Thermopolis we started our little family and had three wonderful girls.  I started my teaching career later in life; after owning a bakery & grill and then working as a payroll clerk, I felt that God was calling me in a different direction.  While taking my classes I was asked to do a long-term subbing job that allowed me to learn a lot about teaching technology.  Later, we moved to Craig, CO where I completed my student teaching, receiving my degree in 2013.  We then moved to Torrington where I added my Title 1 Reading Endorsement and have been here ever since.     

I have had the privilege to work as a Title 1 Math interventionist and as a behavioral teacher before coming to Valley Christian School where I have been for the last 10 years.
